1. In the app
One MyOTgo account works in all three apps, so deleting it in any of them deletes it everywhere.
- MyOTgo Food: open the menu → Account → Delete my account.
- MyOTgo Business and MyOTgo Delivery: open the menu → Account (or Settings → Account) → Delete my account.
- You confirm by typing your email address. Business owners first cancel any paid plan, package or phone number in Plan & billing.
2. By email
Can't open the app? Email support@myotgo.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We'll confirm it's you and reply within one month.
3. Delete some of your data, and keep your account
You can ask us to delete some or all of your data without closing your account: email support@myotgo.com from the address you signed up with and say what to delete (for example your addresses, saved conversations with the assistant, favourites, diets and allergies, reviews, or your driver details). We'll confirm it's you, delete it and reply within one month. Records the law makes us keep are kept as section 5 says.
4. What is deleted
- Your account is closed and signed out everywhere at once, and you're taken out of any business team you were in.
- Customers: your name, email, phone number, addresses, saved conversations with the assistant, favourites, diets and allergies, preferences and reviews are deleted straight away.
- Drivers: your position is never kept after you go off duty; your driver details go with your account.
- Business owners: a business you own on your own is closed with your account: it stops at once, its data is removed from our servers within a day, and its encrypted archive is deleted within 30 days of closing. If the business has another owner, it carries on without you.
5. What is kept, and for how long
- Records of orders and payments are kept for as long as UK law requires (up to 6 years), without your account's details.
- Our disaster-recovery backups roll off after 35 days, so deleted data leaves them by then.
- Some rewards and fees depend on an account being genuinely new. When you delete your account, we keep a scrambled code (a keyed hash) made from your email address and any Apple/Google/Microsoft sign-in ID, for 12 months. It can't be turned back into your email and is used only to check whether a new account belongs to someone who deleted one recently. Sharing a phone, card, address or device with someone else never counts against you. You can object by emailing support@myotgo.com.
